Too much work, even if you enjoy it, can itself be an occupational stressor. It can consume your whole world which then throws off all the other balances in your life. For some people, their jobs are their source of identity. We need to understand the role they play in our lives.

Our jobs should be a part of our lives, but they should not be our whole self-importance. A healthy life is to have a dedicated occupational commitment at the workplace along with developing a creative and fun social element to your life outside of the workplace. By stepping outside your daily routine, you are able to tap into your creative side and exhibit and experience a healthier and happier work and social environment.

Here are a few ways to help start reducing the overworked feel of life and start learning to relax. Get more sleep, eat a healthier diet, increase water intake, be kinder to yourself, focus on deep-breathing, work on other life balances rather than most focus to occupational, learn to laugh more.

When you take the time to give yourself a life break, not only will your entire “being” benefit from it, but you will also be more successful in the workplace. Starting each day in a healthy place within your self, increases productivity and positivity.

Work hard, play hard = a happy life…..Enjoy!
