Aging and Laughter

Getting older can be challenging. Especially when we used to feel like a million bucks when we woke up and now just feel like a bounced cheque!

Yes, maybe getting older isn’t all it’s cracked up to be. But, it is what we make it, and it can be great. Age is only a number, and if we still have our sense of humour, our wits, a few teeth and some hair left, well, then we’re doing quite well, actually.

Just because we get older doesn’t mean that we have lost all of our marbles, though, there might be a leak in the bag somewhere. And, now as we adapt to the age of technnology, the older folks have come up with their own text language. Here is some info that might help out if you are older or if someone older might text you:

  • ATD – At the Doctors
  • BFF – Best Friend Fell
  • BTW – Bring the Wheelchair
  • BYOT – Bring Your Own Teeth
  • FWIW – Forgot Where I Was
  • GGPBL – Gotta Go Pacemaker Battery Low
  • GHA – Got Heartburn Again
  • IMHO – Is My Hearing-aid On
  • LMDO – Laughing My Dentures Out
  • OMMR – On My Massage Recliner
  • OMSGG – Oh My, Sorry, Got Gas
  • ROFLACGU – Rolling On Floor Laughing And Can’t Get Up
  • TTYL – Talk To You Louder

Go ahead, and don’t worry about getting older. As we age we are wiser, have less stress, get loads of store discounts and have less teeth to floss. So, don’t let aging get you down, because, it’s just too darn hard to get back up again! ;-D
