Benefits of Smiling

Smiling is completely contagious! It is very hard to have someone smile at you and not smile back at them. A smile says “hello” and “I am so happy and I want all the world to know it”. It is equally great when you can get a person who is scowling to smile. Watch how much more attractive they look with a smile on their face. They instantly seem less stressed.

We are drawn to people who smile. We want to know what makes them so happy! They instantly make us feel good! A person’s smile can light up any room and can change the mood of others in that room for the better.

Smiling helps prevent us from looking tired, stressed and overwhelmed. Smiling also helps the immune system work better as you are more relaxed and less run down. When smiling, there is a measurable reduction in your blood pressure. Smiling releases endorphins, natural pain-killers and serotonin. Together these three make us feel good.

Smiling makes us look younger as the muscles used to smile are able to give us an instant face-lift . if ever feeling stressed or anxious, try smiling for 10 seconds. This will give you an instant “lift” emotionally, physically and spiritually.

Smile at everyone! If they choose not to smile back, that is their choice and unfortunate loss, but you will fully gain from the experience! You will look and feel great by doing it!
