Great Teeth = Looking Younger

Nothing quite ages us like yellow teeth, gray teeth, stained or splotchy teeth, crooked teeth or overly spaced teeth. Let’s face it, when we expose our teeth, we expose our health! We can tell the world a whole lot about ourselves by our teeth.

Having great teeth is like saying “I am confident, healthy and very much in the game” kind of message. We all want to flash a big white pearly grin!. Don’t we? So, how do we get that killer smile, which can also help us look younger, healthier, our improved self?

We live in a wonderful age where everyone can have white teeth. Teeth whitening and oral cosmetic treatments is a billion dollar industry with people obsessed all over the world. The life we have lived shows on our teeth. Our tooth enamel is so porous that a steady diet of coffee and cola can wreak havoc over our lifetime. And, think of all of the dark coloured foods we enjoy. Chocolates, red sauces etc. can all stain our teeth enamel.

So, with that said, there are definitely some great whitening toothpastes whitening trays and strips on the market to try and which can definitely assist, but if seeking a natural way of enamel stain prevention, there are a few tips to try:

  • swear off lemon – acidic foods eat away our enamel
  • use a soft toothbruch – less abrasive on enamel than hard ones
  • floss – lowers incidence of heart disease while removing staining foods
  • see a dentist – maintainance will help you with your oral health

For some,, cosmetic surgery is a way to address problems that need correction. There are options such as|:

  • Invisalign – adult braces – almost undetectable, can straighten crooked teeth
  • Bonding – lengthens or widens teeth, fixes chips and fills gaps between teeth
  • Porcelain Veneers – pricey but dazzling, and pretty much gives you a new set of perfect teeth

Now, if these above options aren’t your piece of cake, then why not try some more simpler less expensive methods of enhancing your smile:.

  • Replace cola with sprite or ginger ale
  • replace dark tea with light coloured tea
  • Replace red while with white
  • Replace marinara sauces with cream or clam sauce
  • Replace grape juice with lighter juices
  • Replace beets with spinach, broccoli or cauliflower
  • Replace blueberries with grapes, apples or peaches

Plus, if you need more reasons to eat raw vegetables such as cucumbers and celery, you will be happy to learn that they scrub away enamel stains! And, remember, brushing with good old baking soda found in pretty much every fridge is also a means of whiter teeth. Make a paste with added water and away you go!

So, what are we waiting for? Let’s get on that “great smile train” and let the world know we care about our teeth. They do have to last us a lifetime, so it’s a pretty big deal to be kind to them. So, why not look great and more youthful in the process. 😀
