Finding Your Willpower

Whenever there is a Will, there’s a Won’t. Accomplishment takes effort, even sacrifice. Most of life’s actions are within our reach, but decisions to do them take willpower. It is upto us to decide our level of involvement to reach our goals.

Even when we know something is good for us, even if we know we really ought to do it, even when we ardently want it to happen, even if we agree with the value of accepting our feelings, knowing our purpose and doing what needs to be done – our “won’t” power sometimes wins out over your “will” power.

Be kind to yourself. It can take time to awaken your will. Keep working through the negative feelings and growing your will, one day at a time. Someday you may even discover that while you were waiting to do something, you have achieved it just by continually moving forward.

If you have a dream, don’t just sit there. Gather courage to believe that you can succeed and leave no stone unturned to make it a reality. If you cannot run, you crawl, if you cannot crawl you find someone to carry you. Turn your mental blocks into building blocks. The world’s greatest achievers have been those who have always stayed in focus with their goals and consistent in their efforts. If you observe walls around you, walk through them.

Here are some uplifting quotes to help you overcome your mental blocks:

  • Failure will never overtake me if my determination to succeed is strong enough
  • Keep your face always toward the sunshine and shadows will fall behind you
  • Follow your own thoughts, not what other’s are thinking
  • Have faith in your courage and strength to follow through in your goals
  • Hard work will never be denied of success

Every morning we are born again. What we do with today is what matters most. This is your world, you are the creator of your own actions and achiever of your goals. Believe that you can accomplish whatever you set out to do. Whatever your passion is, keep doing it. No need to compare yourself to others as every one reaches goals at their own pace. For, to turn your dreams into reality, all your resources, efforts and concentration should be aligned in the same direction. Keep making this happen and you then will soon succeed in whatever you set out to achieve.

Keep striving, keep learning, keep moving ahead, but most importantly keep believing. You can do it!
