Your body is the only thing you are guaranteed to keep for a lifetime. It forms the foundation of your earthly existence. If we don’t take care of our bodies, where will we live?

Energizing your body enriches your life financing every human capacity. If you have your health, anything is possible!
Almost every day, we read or hear good advice on health. Most of us are on information overload. The world is filled with guidelines and principles. So, then why is it that only a fraction of us turn what we know into what we do?
Good advice just isn’t enough. We can read a never-ending stream of principles and programs, books, and magazines, but we will only benefit from what we do each and every day.

Many of us have a love-hate relationship with our bodies. We indulge them, deprive them, stuff them, or starve them, overwork and underwork them, spoil them, punish them, enjoy them, suffer them and at times, feel betrayed by them.

The key is to keep it simple and practical. You can live for weeks without food, days without water but only minutes without breathing. And, how deeply we breathe relates to our longevity.
Try this for an example: take one slow, deep breath, expanding first your belly and then your chest, and feel yourself relax as you exhale slowly. By doing this process daily, you are already on your way to improving your health by learning and energizing practice for life.
If Breathing is key to longevity, then relaxation is key to energy. It is one of the most important life skills you can learn because the ability to relax enhances your strength, elasticities, grace, coordination, reflex, speed, sensitivity, awareness, balance, circulation, and overall sense of well-being. By consciously learning to relax, we can return our body to a natural state of use without tension.
Walking is another one of nature’s best exercises and has myriad benefits. It is low impact, you can do it every day for your entire life and you already have all the skills and equipment needed.
Increasing your energy enhances your strength, mental clarity, charisma, and personal presence, sensitivity and intuition, and even the ability to heal yourself and assist in the healing of others. By having a healthy foundation, you increase energy within your body which is a common denominator that provides the stamina, fortitude and focuses necessary to face life challenges.
We need to make peace with and come to love and admire the body we’ve been given. We are all given only one body to last us a lifetime. It is your only real possession, so it pays to treat it well. If you do so, many other things fall into place. The fundamental truth: the human journey begins and ends with the body.
Energy is the most abundant substance in the universe. In fact, it is the universe. You are made of energy and take it in at the level of the food you eat, the air you breathe, and from the people and living things around you. Why then do we feel so little energy at times? Possibly could be poor diet, insufficient rest, lack of exercise which in turn results in toxicity, imbalance, and compromised immune response.
Energy leaks can stem from mental sources as well such as anxiety, worry, regret, fear, sorrow, and anger. These energy leaks occur from outside turbulence that your body absorbs. This being recognized as tension and discomfort is internally draining your energy. To reduce this tension and discomfort we need to reduce or completely clear our obstructions.
Vibrant health is essential to remove the obstructions that create our attention and devitalize our bodies. The cornerstones of energy include moderate, regular exercise, a simple healthful diet, fresh air, fresh water and rest, and engaging in some form of creative activity.
You exercise every time you move in the field of gravity – walking, sitting, standing, lifting, carrying, climbing stairs, cleaning, and gardening. As long as you are using your limbs, working your muscles, and deep breathing, you were exercising.
By taking the stairs instead of the escalator, by parking your car a little farther from the store, or by doing anything to force more movement you are developing a more energized lifestyle. What counts is not only how much you worked out at the gym, but how much you have moved by the end of each day, at the end of each week.
Slowing down in life, deliberately moving in very slow motion, amplifies awareness and expands time, enabling you to be conscious of every part of a movement – to notice and release any tension of which you would otherwise have remained unaware. Once you become more aware of the tension, you can automatically take steps to release it.
Your body is the most visible aspect of who you are. It reflects how you are feeling. Any negative thoughts, regrets, worries, resentments will pollute the human energy field, creating weak or sensitive areas that are susceptible to injury or illness.
A strong energy field means a strong body. Flowing movements and deep breathing exercises liberate energy and attention to enhance your functioning on physical, mental, and emotional levels. By following through with movements and breathing techniques your energy field will become larger, brighter, and clearer and you will feel more expansive, alert, and relaxed.

A balanced diet, moderate exercise, and rest serve to enlighten your body by strengthening, opening, clearing, integrating, aligning, and liberating energy and attention in preparation for days, years, decades to come.
So do take the time to protect and respect your body on a daily basis. Make it a priority in your life and it will return the favour for a lifetime.
