Celebrating Life

In life, there is always something to celebrate! We need to remind ourselves that if we seek happiness we will always find something to make us smile, acquire a dose of positive energy and allow us to rejoice in life.

At times our own light goes out and is rekindled by a spark from another person. Each of us has cause to think with deep gratitude of those who have lighted the flame within us. And since we get as much joy out of giving joy to others, we should put a good deal of thought into the happiness that we are able to give. Happiness is always right in front of us. We need to keep your eyes open and enjoy the journey of our life.

We all need a pick-me-up some days when we’d rather crawl back into bed and pull the covers over our head. But, the one thing in common with optimistic people or those who wish to become optimistic, they all know how to find happiness, no matter what comes their way. Ultimately, it comes down to how we look at things. The old proverbial glass is half full question comes to mind. Some might say yes, some might say no, but true optimists say the glass is completely full – 1/2 with water and 1/2 with air!

It takes no more time to see the good side of life, than to see the bad. In fact, the rules for happiness: something to do, someone to love, something to hope for. When we arise in the morning, think of what a precious privilege it is to be alive – to breathe, to think, to enjoy, to love. The more we praise and celebrate our life, the more there is in life to celebrate. Stop a moment, cease your work, look around you. If you enjoy living, it is not difficult to keep the sense of wonder. Don’t put off till tomorrow what you can be enjoyed today.

If we are ever to enjoy life, now is the time – not tomorrow, nor next year, nor in some future decade – today should always be our best day. We can either make ourselves happy or miserable. The amount of work is th e same. We tend to watch out for what is ahead of us that we don’t take time to enjoy where we are. For, a happy person is too satisfied with the present to dwell too much over the future.

We cannot deny laughter. It plops down in our favourite chair and stays as long as it wants. Laughter is our instant vacation. It is able to connect us with other people and makes it impossible to maintain distance when laughing. Life is immeasurable. It is the cheapest luxury we all can enjoy. It stirs up the blood, expands the chest, electrifies the nerves, clears away the cobwebs from the brain and gives us a positive shockwave.

One of the things about human nature is that all of us tend to put off living in the moment. We are all dreaming of some magical rose garden over the horizon instead of enjoying the roses that are blooming outside our windows today. Life is short and there will always be dirty dishes, so let’s dance. Everything in the universe has a rhythm, everything dances. Whether you are bare-footed, kicking up your high heels, wild-haired or jumping up and down, do it. Every day brings a chance to draw in a breath, kick off your shoes and step out and dance. Learn to live free of regret, and filled with fun and joyful moments. Enjoy the ride of life.

If we love life, it will love us back. The world is full of magic, patiently waiting for our senses to grow sharper. Joy is what happens to you when you allow yourself to recognize how good things really are. The universe is not outside of you. Look inside yourself, everything that you want, you already are. Remember, our natural state is “joy”. The sun shines not on us, but within us.

For, life isn’t about waiting for the storm to pass, it is about learning to dance in the rain. And always remember, the sun is always shining, somewhere.
